What is better Seagate freeagent go or western digital my passport essential?
I’m trying to decide what portable hard drive to buy, the Seagate Freeagent go or Western Digital’s passport essential. Does either need any type of outside power source, like a battery? Do I need to buy a forked USB cable in order to have enough power?

both run off your computer via USB connection. which also supplies information transfer back and forth my question is why do you need this if for simple backup or storage just get the one you can readily afford
