System Optimization
Is there a decent system optimization program out there?
Nowadays, most system optimization programs are all ads and talk, but it feels like they do next to nothing. I just want to make my computer run faster so I can put some games on it. It’s a very fast system. My question is: is there an effective, gimmick-less program out there that will dramatically speed up my system? Or even better, is there a way to do it myself, barring the obvious deleting old programs and stopping background programs?

There would be,m if operating systems weren’t optimized as they’re installed. IOW, since there’s no problem to fix, all the “solutions” are hype. If disk access is slow, defrag. Otherwise, there’s nothing to optimize.
