With AirPlay 2 integrated into the LG lineup, owners will be able to screencast audio, video, and podcasts to the television directly from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. No AppleTV is required. It also supports audio streaming from Apple’s HomePod smart speaker.

HomeKit brings a second level of control to iPhone and iPad owners. They will be able to control the TV with Siri, the Remote app, or the Home app on an iOS device. HomeKit also supports automation so you can perform tasks, like turning off your smart lights when you shut down the television.

Owners also can tap into the Apple TV app, which ships pre-installed on the television. Owners can enjoy the latest Apple TV+ content, such as Defending Jacob, an Apple original series slated to launch at the end of April.

Besides Apple technology, the LG televisions are chock full of streaming services and apps such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Netflix, Disney+, and Movies Anywhere.

Hardware-wise, the televisions have NanoCell technology that LG claims will provide a “natural, lifelike color” even when viewed at an angle. The TVs also offer Dolby Vision or HDR10 video, as well as Dolby Atmos sound where available.

The new NanoCell TV Lineup includes 12 different models ranging in size from 49-inches to 86-inches. LG is using a rolling launch schedule that starts with select models and ends in September with the 75-inch model. The first 4K models to go on sale include a 55-inch model for $1,049 and the flagship 86-inch model for $3,299.
