There has been some confusion on the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and it seems India will get the phones before Diwali.
FoneArena seems to have got their hands on the sales invite that confirms October 17 as the release date for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
These invites were apparently given by Apple India’s distributors since Apple India has stopped holding press events for its products.
Apple and its national distributors did a similar multi-city launch during the iPhone 5s/5c and iPad Air/iPad mini launch
