Little over two months after rolling outs its latest operating system to PCs, Microsoft has quietly announced when Windows 10 is coming to existing Lumia smartphones.
The computing giant revealed on Facebook that the Windows 10 Mobile update will be distributed this December as a Christmas treat.
Lumia owners will need 8GB of memory spare for the new OS and must be running at least the Denim upgrade to qualify for the update.
Windows 10 Mobile is essentially the full-fat operating system in your pocket, complete with support for universal apps and deep Cortana integration.
The update will coincide with the release of Windows 10 to Xbox One owners, which has been promised during the holiday season.
On Tuesday (October 6), Microsoft revealed its long-awaited Windows 10 flagship phones – the Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
