West Lake: Charming as before

If you are tired of the hustle and bustle city of Shanghai, it’s a good choice to come to Hangzhou, especially the West Lake (Xi Hu) where lies the inspiration of many Chinese Painting and Poems. The cool breeze, the withering willows and the little pavilions standing far away in the mountains, makes it a harmonious scene. No wonder ancient Chinese Poets compare the West Lake with Xishi, one of the four famous beauties in Chinese history.

If you walk around the lake in the morning, you admire Spring Dawn at Su Causeway and get a glimpse of the thoughts of the litterateur and poet Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty. Then you can relax yourself at the Flower Harbor and enjoy yourself while watching the colorful goldfish swimming playfully between flowers in the water. Late in the afternoon there is the Sunset Glow at Leifeng Pagoda waiting for you. The Leifeng Pagoda is closely related to an ancient Chinese love story. During the night at Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, you can see 33 moons. Amazing huh, see it for yourself!

Marco Polo once said “Hangzhou is the most beautiful and elegant city in the world.” That was the 15th century comment…..and Hangzhou still beholds its charm. It’s now more beautiful than ever before!
