Samsung has announced its new Galaxy Tab A range. This new tablet range will feature thin, lightweight tablets with metal construction. The company announced two new tablets under this range; one is an 8-inch model and the other is a 9.7-inch model.

Both tablets offer similar specifications as far as internal hardware is concerned. Beyond that, since the tablets come in different sizes, outer dissimilarities are quite obvious.

Samsung has priced the 8-inch tablet at $229 (Rs. 14,420 approx) and the 8.9-inch model at $299 (Rs. 18,827 approx). There is a third bundle version as well in which Samsung includes its S-pen with the 9.7-inch model, this costs $349 (Rs. 22,000 approx).

Currently, both tablets have been introduced in the US and will start shipping from May 1. Global availability and pricing is still under wraps but is expected to be revealed soon.
