would you consider running more of a leaping motion or a skipping motion?
my roommate and i began randomly debating about this and he believes its more of a skip whereas i find it to be more of a leap since u travel a further distance with a leap and than a skip. I know running, leaping, and skipping are all their own kind of action, but which one would be more likely to be resembled in a run, leap or skip?

a good experienced runner will not move his centre of gravity up and down, as in a leap or skip, but use his foot and leg muscles to propel him forward. Its a bit like a bicycle wheel movement.
